Every New Year’s Day, organisers of the East African Party (EAP) invite the crème de la crème of regional musicians to join their Rwandan counterparts and help Rwandans begin the year with pomp.This time round, queued up to perform at Amahoro Stadium’s parking yard come January 1, 2013 are Burundian crooner Kidumu and Fuse ODG (of the Azonto dance style). These will be joined on stage by a host of Rwandan musicians, including King James, Knowless, Jay Polly, Kamichi, Riderman, Tom Close, Uncle Austin, Man Martin, Christopher, Bruce Melody, Ama G and many others."We’ve brought in Kidumu and Fuse ODG because they are currently some of the biggest acts on the continent. Kidumu is a good live performer while Fuse ODG boasts of impressive dance moves,” says EAP’s Landry Jabo. Before the concert, local fans will have a chance to meet and greet the artistes at K-Club in Nyarutarama, starting 9PM.Entrance to the show will be Rwf5,000 and Rwf2,000 for VIP stands and the general happiness section respectively. Primus and MTN are the sponsors of the show.
