Rwanda national team begins preps for 2023 women’s Afrobasket tourney

The women’s national basketball team has started preparing for the women’s Afrobasket tournament.

The tournament will take place in Kigali from July 28 to August 6 and will attract 12 African countries.

The national team’s training sessions are at BK Arena, and are attended by a number of local and foreign-based players.

A number of players have turned up except for US-based Bella Murekatete who is expected to join camp later.

Rwanda was drawn in Group A alongside Angola and one more team that will qualify from Zone 2 and Zone 3 combined.
