Niyonshuti gears up for continental champs

OLYMPIAN Adrien Niyonshuti is buoyant on his performance in the upcoming African cycling championship scheduled for November 6-11 in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso.Niyonshuti is part of Team Rwanda undergoing intensive preparations in Musanze. He is hoping to do better in this year’s edition  in which Rwanda will be competing for a fourth consecutive time."This time I want to double my performance, compete on high level and challenge on high level more than before. I am undergoing intensive preparations in Musanze with an aim of ensuring that am in a good shape for the challenge,” Apart from Tour of Kigali reigning champion, Niyonshuti who also rides for South Africa’s MTN-Qhubeka, other cyclists on the team include Abraham Ruhumuriza, Janvier Hadi andJoseph Biziyaremye while Valens Ndayisenga will compete in the junior category.Team Rwanda is expected to head to Burkina Faso on November 4, two days before the championship gets underway.
