Sunday NUR     56-87     KBC30-Plus     56-64     APRRusizi     100-60     KIEKIGALI Basketball Club (KBC) fought their way back to the helm of the national league standings with an 87-56 victory over National University of Rwanda (NUR) on Sunday at the latter’s backyard in Huye.The reigning champions remain unbeaten after securing their sixth successive win of the season with Congolese-naturalised Rwandan Mike Buzangu emerging the top scorer with a game high 35 points.On Saturday, KBC also snatched an 89-50 victory over UGB.Former champions APR overcame newcomers 30-Plus with 64-56, while Rusizi had no mercy for Kigali Institute of Education (KIE) whom they beat 100-60 with Patrick Kuribashi scoring a career high 42 points.Another former champion, Espoir, also still unbeaten this season, remained on course with two important wins over Cercle Sportif de Kigali (CSK) 86-42 and APR 80-47.KBC and Espoir jointly lead the league table with 12 points each, followed by APR with 10pts while CSK and KIE have with 8pts each; UGB and Rusizi are also tied on 7 points each, with NUR and 30-Plus lying bottom of the table with 5 points apiece.
