Editor,I received with sadness the terrible news about the death of the former CEO of the Rwanda Development Bank (BRD), Theogene, Turatsinze, in Maputo, Mozambique, where he has been working as a vice chancellor at a private university there!  The country has lost a man of integrity who lived on truth and nothing else but truth. We've lost a young man who loved people and life, sport and sportsmen. We’ve lost you Theogene; you will be very much missed.

May your family, especially your spouse and baby, bear the pain and eventually overcome this tragic loss. May God grant you eternal rest. Jeanne, Nyarugenge------------------------------------ Editor,

Agaciro also means that when a Rwandan is killed in cold blood here or abroad, Rwanda will do what it takes to seek justice for the killers. Rwandans here and in the Diaspora need to travel, work and live in this world in the knowledge that the country is there for them in good times and bad.

I am confident that our Embassy, the government in Maputo, the Kigali and Maputo Police, intelligence agencies, the bereaved family and former colleagues at the late Theogene Turatsinze’s university are taking this case seriously and will update the country and take appropriate action accordingly. The bereaved family needs our support.Kayitesi, BRD-----------------------------------------Editor,It's sad indeed! Rwanda has lost a very committed citizen. We hope thorough investigations will be carried out to establish the motive behind his death. I have a feeling that somebody plotted his death. Why would a person kill their fellow human being? I believe so much in the Bible and it teaches us to love one another. For the family of the late Theogene Turatsinze, I say, we are together during this difficult time.Eugene Asiimwe, Kigali (Reactions to the story, ‘Former BRD Director found dead in Maputo’, The New Times, October 16)
