5th June 2008, will be ‘World Environment Day’. We should join the world to honor the important day. We should think more of how to protect our environment rather than destroying it.

The business of planting trees every after a certain period of time was such a beautiful work, the action beautified Rwanda and made the citizens to know more about the importance of a tree.

More trees are still needed as they help much in protecting our environment. Trees act as; wind breakers, help in the formation of rainfall, stop soil erosion to mention but a few.

However planting tress won’t help, keeping the environment clean. Environmental cleanliness is another thing all together. Cleanness should be kept in all corners of life especially in places were business are carried out.

And when it comes to hotels and restaurants, there should be no doubt about the importance of cleanliness in such places.

The waste products from industries also contribute much to the destruction of our environment. New methods of treating the waste products should be used to make sure that they don’t cause pollution which can be dangerous to the environment.

Environmental cleanliness and protection should go hand in hand.
