Kiyovu parts ways with five players
Friday, June 09, 2023

Kiyovu Sports are patching up after failing to win the 2022/23 Rwanda Premier League. The Green Baggies led the table until the penultimate game against Sunrise in which they lost 1-0, allowing APR to go on and win the title on superior goal difference.

Consequently, there is a massive shakeup currently going on at Kiyovu with some players, reportedly the big earners, being shown the exit so as to cut costs.

So far, five players have been released. They are Ismail Nshimirimana who was arguably their best player, Abedi Bigirimana, striker Erisa Keith Ssekisambu, South African midfielder Riyad Norodien, as well as Thierry Ndayishimiye.

Also, assistant coach Jean de Dieu Mateso as well as Seydou Dabo have all been asked to depart the club.

Kiyovu is yet to unveil any new signings to fill the void.

Times Sport understands that other key players in the team from the previous season will also make way for fresh faces.
