RWANDA Volleyball Federation has confirmed that the annual Carré d’As tournament will be played on the weekend of October 20-21 at Amahoro Indoor Stadium courts.According to the federation Executive Secretary, Gertrude Kubwimana, this year’s tournament, which brings together the top four teams in the national league in both the men and women’s categories, will be used to generate money to contribute towards the Agaciro Development Fund."We have decided that the tournament will be held on the 20th and 21st of this month, and the gate collection and other internal contributions will go to Agaciro Development Fund,” Kubwimana explained.FRVB is the third sports federation, after Ferwafa (football) and Ferwaba (basketball), to organise a competition to raise money for the national cause.League champions APR, Lycee de Nyanza, National University of Rwanda (NUR) and INATEK will compete in the men’s category, while Rwanda Revenue Authority  (RRA), APR, Ruhango and St Alloys Rwamagana will battle for the women’s title.
