Uyisenga to leave FRVB chairmanship

Rwanda Volleyball Federation chairman Charles Uyisenga will resign from his post after he was named to the Senate. Uyisenga has been working closely with the volleyball federation as well as other sports activities in the country for a long time but he told Times Sports that he cannot take on the two responsibilities at the same time."I will not stay on as chairman of FRVB. I need to step aside and let other people run the federation without other distructions,” he said.Uyisenga is a former volleyball player, from 1968 to1985. He was the attacker in the following teams: Save Petit Seminaire (1968-69), Petit Seminaire Kansi (1969-1972), National University of Rwanda (1972-1975, Captain: 1974-1975), the National Team Selection in 1974.He played in Imprimerie Nationale du Rwanda (1975-1976), University of Dakar (1976-1979), Rafiki Club (1979-1984). After 1984, he added that "I continued to play but not in championship competitions’.He was a member of the Athletics Seminar (high jump, long jump and triple jump, shot put, javelin and disc). At UNR, he was the member of the Rugby team (No. 4 that is to say the second row left) and Athletics (Long Jump, high jump, triple jump, shot put, javelin and disc).From 1984-1993, Uyisenga was the chairman of Rwanda Volleyball Federation FRVB, 1988- 1993; he was the Vice Chairman of Rwanda Olympic committee (CNOSR) and chairman of volleyball from 2009- 2012.Apart from sports, in 1979 he worked as Secretary Administration in the Ministry of Education, 1980-1989: Director of National Archives, 1989- 1991: Chef of Service, Information and Nationals Archives rank of Secretary General.1991-1995: Chef of Service Edition in Printing School, 1995- 1998: First Counselor of Charge Affaires the Rwandan Embassy in Bonn, in 1998- 2002: First Counsellor of Embassy Charge d’Affaires ai at the Rwandan Embassy in Brussels.In 2002- 2005: Chef of Division Europe in MINAFFET, 2005- 2008: Director General de la Governance and Development Social in the Services, 2003- 2012: Commissioner National Electoral Commission.
