The national premier league football side Rayon Sport has provided Uganda Cranes’ Coach Laszlo Csaba with a mid field option of Jimmy Kidega ahead of the 2010 World/Africa Cup qualifier against Niger due on Saturday in Kampala. The Rayon Sport playmaker was considered by Csaba as a late inclusion to 18-man team.

Kidega has notched four goals in this year’s national football league season helping his club to climb to the third spot with 37 points, ten behind leaders Atraco.

Kidega returns to team after four years in international wilderness. He last donned the national colours in the famous 2003 African nations Cup qualifier when the Amavubi Stars stunned Uganda Cranes 1-0 courtesy of Jimmy Gatete strike.

Kidega joins Atraco pair of Joseph Kabagambe and Godfrey Kateregga who were earlier on summoned for national duty.

Kidega late inclusion spurs up the already fierce competition for the places in the midfield with Ethiopian based Assani Bajope and APR’s fugitive Noah Kasule in the fray.
