RWANDA’s Andrew Buteera has joined miliarty side and reigning national league giants APR on a two-year deal that will end late 2014.The 18-year old, who was part of Rwanda’s U-17 that took part in the Fifa World Cup held in Mexico last year, has been out of action nursing a knee injury which he sustained while playing for Amavubi during the 2011 edition of Tusker Cecafa Challenge Cup in Tanzania.APR FC chairman Maj. Gen. Alex Kagame confirmed the development yesterday. He said, "Everything has been sorted out with Buteera; he is now our player.”"Buteera is a skilled footballer who is willing to improve his game and career. I hope he will boost the club’s ambition of winning silverware in the upcoming season,” added Kagame.The marksman, who featured for Uganda’s Proline FC last season, will be among new faces in APR’s squad when they open up their new season campaign against Marines on September 22.As a way of bolstering their team ahead of the national football league season, next year’s Cecafa Kagame Cup and Africa Champions League, APR are keen on signing influential players who have been released from Isonga FC and negotiations are underway.
