CEOs Clare Akamanzi of Rwanda Development Board, Diane Karusisi of Bank of Kigali, Kampeta Sayinzoga of BRD, Arthur Asiimwe, RBA's Director General and Sina Gerard, the Managing Director of Entreprise Urwibutso took turns spinning discs at the ‘Battle of the DJs’.

Graced by the First Lady Jeannette Kagame and senior government officials, the fun-filled event was part of Inkomoko’s 10th anniversary celebration on Saturday, September 3, at Chillax Lounge, Century Park.

First, came BK's Karusisi as DJ BK clad in white, who danced to Kizz Daniel’s "Buga”. She was assisted by DJ Bisoso in scratching the controller and treating the spectators with some oldies – a familiar taste in Bisoso's shows.

Then came Sina Gerard as DJ Akabanga, who couldn't help but play a sample of an ad for his famed chili Akabanga, as a starter. He then played Bob Marley's "Nanana Nana” in, and the crowd welcomed it in uproar.

The crowd then waited for a new taste from RBA's Asiimwe as DJ HafiYawe and Inkomoko’s DJ Jupac who represented the company’s CEO Julienne Oyler.

DJ Hafi Yawe, appeared to master a couple of Amapiano dance moves. As he handled the turntable, Asiimwe danced to Chris Eazy's hit "Inana”.

Yet, the show hadn’t gone down until it was time for RDB’s Akamanzi as DJ Visit Rwanda and BRD’s Kampeta as DJ Kampz. The Battle of the DJs was supposed to be a competition, but the duo decided to share the stage.

DJ Visit Rwanda, clad in a pink silk shirt with her new nickname stamped on the back, and DJ Kampz in milky shirt and a greyish fedora hat. A shared stage wouldn’t have been nicer if DJ Kamps hadn’t grabbed the microphone and entertained the audience as DJ Visit Rwanda remained with the turntables, mixing hits like Mike Kayihura’s "Tuza” and late Yvan Buravan’s "Twaje”.

"What a moment!” said one amused attendant who was serving drinks.
