Littering is a bad habit

Dear editor, As an environmentalist and Iam hurt every time I see someone throwing rubbish any how! It does not matter if it is a tiny piece of paper or a sweet covering, these materials do not degrade. Though use of polythene bags is banned in Rwanda there are still some, that when accumulated can become a mountain of rubbish that does not rot.

Dear editor,

As an environmentalist and Iam hurt every time I see someone throwing rubbish any how! It does not matter if it is a tiny piece of paper or a sweet covering, these materials do not degrade. Though use of polythene bags is banned in Rwanda there are still some, that when accumulated can become a mountain of rubbish that does not rot.

I think the only way to combat this problem is to call every individual to develop a good habit of keeping their trash in the right places and burning them appropriately. If on the road or in your car don’t just throw trash out the window, keep it in your bag till you find a dustbin, they are all-over town especially in busy places.

Make a difference even when no one is watching you because at the end, it will be to your advantage.
