Habiyambere confident on winning ITF tennis circuit

AFTER winning the first and second legs of the ITF/CAT 14 and Under African junior circuit in Burundi, Ernest Habiyambere is optimistic on winning the final leg which started yesterday at Cercle Sportif Rugunga.

KaziAFTER winning the first and second legs of the ITF/CAT 14 and Under African junior circuit in Burundi, Ernest Habiyambere is optimistic on winning the final leg which started yesterday at Cercle Sportif Rugunga.The 13-year old who looked to be in a buoyant mood in yesterday’s training session said that he is ready to stun his opponents when he starts his quest for the title this morning."I am focused and ready for the tournament. The experience I have gained from Burundi drives me to go for more honours in this tournament,” added Habiyambere.Habiyambere takes on Omar Sulle of Tanzania this morning in the first round of the tournament.In the U-12 category, Bryan Ndahiro will face Burundi’s Mahoro Ken Frank while Fabrice Tuyimishe will play Jonathan Kazi.Two Rwandans-Yannick Muvunyi and Etienne Niyigena ejected Joseph Garo and Ibrahim Shaban (7-6 6-2) and (6-16-2) to book a place in the main draw respectively.Over 32 players from Zimbabwe, Tanzania, Uganda and Ethiopia are taking part in the five-day tournament.
