Dear editor,

If you have never seen people in the worst moods, then attend a soccer match one day and you will be astonished. People can real be mad with soccer.

As we count two days down to the UEFA championship final match, people’s heads are now boiling and they are warming up for the do or die match.

Manchester United and Chelsea are two English teams that are too remote to most Africans but the way they attract fans in the part of the world is indeed surprising.

I therefore expect fans of either side to exchange bitter words and probably blows, but all in good spirit. For sure people have betted and a lot of money is awaiting some lucky people who will see the team they support win.

What is surprising more is that the final match fever is not only felt in Moscow and England but in Rwanda too.

We however have got to sit and pray so that the referee does not spoil the fantastic match by sending away one of the players in either team. When this happens, as it did when Man. U was playing Liverpool, we do not enjoy the game and the team that wins does not take credibility of a better team.

Enjoy the finals please, wherever you are in Rwanda or elsewhere in the world and remember to console the unfortunate.
