Rwandan traditional singer Pacifique Intabingwa recently released his debut album ‘Intabingwa’, marking a significant milestone in his musical journey. The singer envisions thriving and getting recognition for his music after the release of his eight-track-album.

The album’s title means so much to the singer, the fact that it is his stage name, album’s title and the first song’s title on the album proves so. ‘Intabingwa’ which loosely translates ‘the one who never falls into a trap’ was derived from his late father’s name Rutabingwa.

"The main reason I chose this name was to keep my father’s legacy even if he was killed during the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi. I want him to be a star by using the name as a way of remembering and honoring him.
