Editor,Allow me to respond to a story titled "Donatila Kanimba refused to let blindness hinder her” appeared in The NewTimes of July, 19.Donatila Kanimba is a determined human being.  I wish to tell her that she should not stop pursuing your dream to be a doctor. Blind people have very astute senses that "see” people far beyond the outer shells. Therefore, your natural skills would be quite valuable as a psychologist/psychiatrist doctor especially in post-genocide Rwanda where there are lot of walking-wounded in need of inner-healing and reconciliation. This kind of "doctoring” requires focused persistence and much patience -- which you have in plenty.Margaret S. Maringa-------------------------------------------------Editor,The story of Donatila Kanimba is touching but at the same time gives a lesson to every human being. Donatila had dream like any child growing up. I still think she achieve what she wants in her life no matter how long it takes. Her resilience against all odds shows the world that disability does not mean inability. You are an inspiration to many people. I hope you accomplish your dream. God bless you.BillKigali
