After two successful editions of the Oldies Music Festival that was held last year, the old school music extravaganza is back and ready to take its revelers in the old good times of the 70s, 80s, 90s and early 2000s.

This time around, the organisers of the event have added another theme to the show of exhibiting classic old cars and rewarding a reveler that came in the best customized classic car.

Speaking to The New Times, Basile Uwimana, one of the festival organisers, said that the upcoming edition of Oldies fest comes to give Rwandans a taste of the old school party in various ways, different to previous editions that only showcased old school music and fashion.

He said that other key additions to the show are exhibitions of some music and entertainment equipment of the 70s, 80s, 90s and Early 2000s among others.

"We have realized that our previous editions lacked different old-fashioned activities to entertain our revelers and that’s why we are coming back with a lot of interesting activities to feature in this event,” Uwimana said.

"From old-style cooking, to exhibiting old vintage cars and having fashion trends that used to make headlines during the old times, we are going to have a typical old-fashioned party that will give our revelers a proper turn up,” he added.

Uwimana also calls on anyone who might own special vintage, pimped, old luxurious customised cars and superbikes to bring them to the show as judges will determine a winner to get a cash prize.

DJs and artistes to perform at the show slated for July 1, at Canal Olympia Rebero, will be communicated soon, Uwimina noted.

In the previous editions, the event featured MCs and DJs who lived the entertainment moments of the four decades, with the lineup consisting of the dopest DJs in the game like DJ Bisoso, Karim and RY who is the youngest among them.
