Rwanda’s U-20 team will join camp on Monday to start preparing for their clash against Mali in the second round of the Orange African Youth Championship qualifiers due on July 28 at Rubavu stadium.Head coach Richard Tardy confirmed the development. He said, "We are starting camp on July 2 in Rubavu. We hope to use that time to prepare a strong team which will do the job against Mali.”Tardy pans a series of warm-up matches to fine tune his team ahead of their decisive clash against the West Africans.Some of the nations that Tardy is planning to contact for friendlies include Nigeria, Uganda and DR Congo."I want to request Nigeria to pass here on their way to Tanzania such that we can play two friendlies from July 20-24. Uganda has requested for a friendly and we hope to honour that from between July 14-20 in Kampala. Another option is DR Congo,” said the Frenchman.Tardy has invited Jean Marie Rusizingizandekwe from Belgium’s Marines, Bonny Bayingana (Express) and Charles Tibingana (Proline) to start preparations with the rest of the squad.Rwanda reached the second round after dispatching Namibia in the first round following a 4-1 goals aggregate.The Junior Wasps face a hard task against Mali who have most of their playing professional football in the French league. The second leg will be played in Bamako between August 10-12.Mali finished fourth behind Super Eaglets who won the title last year in South Africa with Cameroon finishing in second place.The top eight teams in Africa will fight for glory in Algeria from where the best four qualify for the World U-20 Championships scheduled for June 2013 in Turkey.
