APR propel to league summit

In other games, The winners were held to a 1-1 draw by Urumuri while Bugesera beat Les Lioness 2-0.Eleven clubs, including APR, Inyemera, Remera Rukoma, The Winners, Rambura, Nyarugenge, Imirasire, ESIR, AS Kigali, Bugesera, Les Lionness and the National University of Rwanda (NUR), are taking part in the six month league basis competition.Rwanda is the only East African country with a functioning women football league but according to Felicite Rwemarika, the chairman of the national women football league more sponsors need to come on board to make the league exciting."We depend on FIFA money to run the league, which is not enough considering the number of teams in the league, our prayer is for sponsors to come on board and partner with us.” Rwemarika said.FIFA dispenses USD 250,000 a year to Ferwafa of which Rwf 26m is given to the women league.
