Editor,I am an English teacher in Houston. I liked the article ‘Johnny come lately on education’ by Eddie Balaba in last Saturday’s paper. I like the Eddie’s style and thinking. I plan to share this article with the entire student body of my high school (1,350). We have been discussing "The Portrait of a Twenty First Century Thinker”. Mr Balaba’s writing qualifies him as one. I thank him for giving me some pointers to share with my students! The author also made me proud; I will be able to brag about how smart my people are!
