With Jackie Chandiru, Radio and Weasel and a host of local talents lined up for Uncle Austin’s ‘Nzakwizirikaho Ibihe Byose’ album launch, it’s expected to be a launch of a life time-but at a cost.News reaching us is that, the Nzakwizirikaho singer has a budget of 18M meant to pay over 15 musicians that are supposed to support him launch his debut album and pay for the venue.But raising the Rwf 18,000,000 might be a walk over as he has the backing of MTN Rwanda (he’s MTN’s brand ambassador), BPR, Air Uganda and all radio stations.Uncle Austin will kick off his album launch with a ‘Meet and Greet’ party at Caddilac night club on July 3rd at 8PM. Entrance to this event that will feature all musicians expected to perform on 4th July is Rwf 5,000.The next day (Liberation day), all roads will lead to Petit Stade’s parking for the launch. VIP tickets go for Rwf 5,000 while ordinary tickets will be sold at Rwf 2,000.
