Prime Minister Edouard Ngirente held a 'fruitful' meeting with Edgar Sandoval, the President and CEO of World Vision USA, at his office on Wednesday. The discussions focused on various areas of collaboration and partnership.

During the meeting, the two leaders explored projects related to water and sanitation, education, and healthcare. A significant emphasis was placed on the remarkable achievement of providing clean water to one million people over the past five years.

Sandoval expressed his satisfaction with the transformative impact of this commitment, particularly on the lives of children, who are the primary beneficiaries.

He stated, "In 2018, we made a pledge to deliver clean water to Rwandans, and it is gratifying to see how this has positively affected people&039;s lives, especially children."

World Vision Rwanda, through its Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene program, has made remarkable strides toward reaching its goal of providing access to clean water for one million people, as well as improving sanitation and hygiene for numerous families.

Sandoval emphasized World Vision's privilege to be actively involved in Rwanda's development through multiple projects and affirmed their ongoing commitment to provide assistance in the future.

Manasseh Nshuti, the Minister of State in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (MINAFFET), commended the strong ties between Rwanda and World Vision.

He reiterated their commitment to support the country across various sectors, which contributes significantly to the government's economic goals.

Nshuti said, "World Vision has been instrumental in supporting Rwanda in various sectors, including health and education, and helping citizens overcome poverty through diverse means.

Their provision of clean water to over one million people and assistance to an additional 30,000 individuals in poverty are commendable efforts that align with the government's agenda and budget." He said.
