The first ever national military soccer league enters its third day when different brigades honour their fixtures today.Today’s action sees most of Kigali-based teams travel away from home. The climax of the day sees Group one leaders the Republican Guard travel to Nyamata to face the 401 Brigade. As the incorporated Police Headquarters faces Kanombe Barracks at Kacyiru grounds. In group two, 511 Brigade travels to western province to play Nyagatare based 204 Brigade as Police Training School-Gishari will be looking to use their home advantage over Gabiro Training Wing. Group Three leaders 307 Brigade tussles it out with 204 Brigade in Gabiro while the 511 Brigade will be having a rest day. Group four’s Gisenyi based Marines plays 204 Brigade in Musanze as 211th Brigade has the day off. In Group Five 301 brigade hosts 501 in Huye as 411 Brigade has a rest day. The Inter- Brigade league is bank-rolled by the military Credit Saving Scheme (CSS).In interview with TimeSport, the Director of Sports in the ministry of Defense Lieutenant Robert Kanamugire revealed that the tournament is geared towards creating a cordial working relationship between the army and the national police. "We organized this tournament to bring both Police and the soldiers to closely interact through football game” Kanamugire said
