Young talents doing a magnificent work.

Artists in general have a common urge to capture the beauty and nature of different objects and people.

In 2006 the founder and director of Ivuka Arts Mr. Collin Sekajugo (an artist by profession), felt the need to turn his skills, creativity and inspiration towards a more extensive project; one that would nurture the talent of Rwanda’s young artists and launch Rwandan contemporary art to global heights.

Ivuka Arts is comprised of a group of established artists both local and international. They include: Collin Sekajugo, Richardson Karekezi, Jane, Chantal, Miss Veronica and among many others.

They are dedicated to discovering and nurturing young talents into the works of art as opposed to giving them money. This will help them to permanently survive on their own.

Ivuka Art Studio is located behind Kacyiru Apartments; it’s a busy place with a number of artists engrossed in their art work. There are various complete art pieces on display that are interesting and the professionalism involved in their making, is highly selling.

The art studio sell the paintings on the local and international market and the money got, is what they use to take care of some of the street children.

The vision of Mr. Collin is that Ivuka Arts- Kigali will become the next generation of hands and feet that will blaze the trail for the Rwandan authentic contemporary art.
