Rotary club Mont Jali donates to orphans

KIGALI - Rotary Club Mont Jali, has donated a Land Cruiser vehicle worth about Frw 10 million to “Children Affected by Aids” (CHABA) - an American NGO helping Children affected by HIV Aids. The donation will help about two thousand children affected by HIV Aids under Amahoro association, living in Kagugu Sector Gasabo district.

KIGALI - Rotary Club Mont Jali, has donated a Land Cruiser vehicle worth about Frw 10 million to "Children Affected by Aids” (CHABA) - an American NGO helping Children affected by HIV Aids. The donation will help about two thousand children affected by HIV Aids under Amahoro association, living in Kagugu Sector Gasabo district.

While handing over keys to the Executive director of CHABA, the current President of Rotary Club Mont Jali, Sonia Kubwimana said this vehicle will solve many problems which have been delaying orphans’ progress in the area.

"We hope this donation will at least make a genuine change in your daily activities like in case of emergency to take the very sick to the hospital,” she said.

In a brief interview after receiving the donation, the Executive Secretary of CHABA Dr. Susanna Grannis said these orphans will now access easy transport in solving different issues like going to School to those who can not afford.

She added that this vehicle will act as an ambulance in case if a child is very sick and need quick rush to the hospital.

Rotary Club is an International non profit making NGO that works in different fields including Education and Health. It has four branches in Rwanda with its members reaching to more than 1.2 million people from 130 countries across the world.
