Dada Cross is a Rwandan hip hop artist based in the US. Born in 1989 in Kigali to Jean Paul Niwemuremyi and Alice Twagirayezu the young female hip hop rapper later moved to US with her parents. The star who sings in Hip Hop style lives in Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA and she is a student at Full Sail University pursuing master’s degree in Management.

Dada Cross is a Rwandan hip hop artist based in the US. Born in 1989 in Kigali to Jean Paul Niwemuremyi and Alice Twagirayezu the young female hip hop rapper later moved to US with her parents. The star who sings in Hip Hop style lives in Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA and she is a student at Full Sail University pursuing master’s degree in Management.Cross is the 1st born of 5 children with 1 boy and 4 girls. She describes her self as kind person, creative and likes challenges because they make her strong in her career. Dada started music long time ago "I remember I used to sing people's songs when I was really young but it was not until 2006 that I left the place of simplicity and became serious about my music,” she says.The importance of music instilled in her from as far as she can recall, developed as second nature to her.   "I would endlessly entertain my family members and friends by singing, dancing and acting which later became my expertise as I incessantly enjoyed the spotlight,” recalls Cross.She says her confidence and optimism preserved in her the passion for hip hop and rap in School as she slowly emerged as a talented hip hop female rapper. "I found my niche in entertainment as I devoted my time to dance and other various talent shows and performed in junior high school plays,” she adds. Asked about the naughty message most hip hop artistes feeds to people, she says, " I thought I’m a rapper and staying in the States, that doesn’t change me, I’m still a well cultured Rwandese girl.”Dada adds that she is conscious about it so she tries to deliver the message in the best way possible."I’m conscious of the fact that I have young folks listening.”To Miss Cross, the sky is not the limit. "I want to go international like be the best African female artiste, in fact, five years from now I see myself successful with money and a career. I see myself as an entrepreneur or one who has expanded in many areas. This is so, because I’m not just a female rapper-I am an artiste. So there will probably be more from me later on in other areas besides music.” Cross appreciates all her fans out there. She says that if wasn't for them she would not be Dada Cross. "I love them so much and I want to tell them that if you want something go for it because you never know if you never tried.”Dada who’s favorite artiste is Jihan Jeffers a.k.a Eve an American rapper, songwriter, record producer and actress. Say she gets motivation from people around her; she also writes and raps about her own experience. "I’m my own influence. If I don’t believe in myself or trust myself...then how can anyone else?!”
