Club Galaxy opened its doors in Kigali on Friday, March 2, adding a cutting-edge vision to the city’s nightlife scene. In the place of the former Club Next, which stood as a local hot spot for only a short period of time, Galaxy offers an atmosphere completely redesigned and revamped from the last, according to owner Robert Kayumba. The lighting system is not the only state-of-the-art addition at the newly launched nightclub. The downtown establishment house is also perfect for the big-name DJs set to hit the stage. As expected, the night lived up to its hype and so did DJ Crème, the guest DJ from Kenya, who was playing for his first time in Rwanda. With the help of Eugene Ken Anangwe of Contact FM and DJ Nano, DJ Crème made the night a memorable one for the crowd that appeared for the launch. However, despite the night’s event being the launch of Club Galaxy, it looks like we shall very soon be in for another launch as most of the stuff (carpet, counter, chairs, and tiles) are still the very ones that were in Club Next. The party was organised by 250 Entertainment, the entertainment branch of EA Production and Club Contact. It was sponsored by 89.7 Contact Fm.In addition to the weekend dance parties, Club Galaxy is now promoting special nights to help people find something at the club. According to an insider, each week, rare performers will take the stage from live bands to show acts.
