Dear editor,

Allow me to inform the public of the dangers associated with drinking too much alcohol. Drinking alcohol is seemingly on increase especially in Kigali suburb where some people don’t seem to have any jobs.

Drinking alcohol is some thing usual to do in our societies but what disappoints is to forget its diverse effects. If you happen to seek for more information on what damage it can cause to your health, you would avoid it completely.

Drinking too much alcohol could put your health at higher risk for cancer of the pancreas, mouth, tongue, liver cancer, fatty liver, hepatitis, cirrhosis and throat. This risk is even greater if you also use tobacco products and other serious mind altering drugs.

Smoking these drugs has been known to cause health problem to lungs and to other sensitive organs in the body.
Using alcohol and smoking together increases the acidity in your stomach which could cause strong negative effect on your health.

So we should avoid drinking alcohol because our internal organs are very essential to our lives and once damaged, could lead to a gradual death.
