Handball: Players responding well to training, Rwanda coach Bagirishya

Anaclet Bagirishya, the U-17 women’s national handball team head coach is positive that his players are picking up the pace as they step up preparations for the upcoming IHF Trophy Africa Zone 5 women's youth and junior tournaments that will be staged in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania from April 25-30.

The team is undergoing daily training sessions at at Sovu, Huye District where they are currently camping.

"The players look in remarkable shape and are responding well to training. They have a lot to do to get to the level we want them to be, obviously players still have to work hard and, hopefully, we shall get there,” said Bagirishya

The regional handball event, which serves as qualification event for the continental phase of the Women's IHF Trophy Africa, will attract 10 countries including Burundi, Djibouti, Ethiopia, Kenya, Rwanda, Somalia, Sudan, South Sudan, Uganda and hosts Tanzania.
