‘Great Indian Nite’ as delicious food, fun and fabulous music crown the moment

It was a great Friday night, with delicious Indian snacks, food and plenty of drinks. The atmosphere was great and the venue was filled with beautiful people from different walks of life.

It was a great Friday night, with delicious Indian snacks, food and plenty of drinks.

The atmosphere was great and the venue was filled with beautiful people from different walks of life.

Indian nationals living in Rwanda and various people including Rwandans, turned out in large numbers and enthusiastically celebrated the ‘Great Indian Nite’ at The Indian Chef, a Kacyiru- based restaurant, on January 27.

The event started from 7p.m and ended in the wee hours of the morning. A live performance by local artistes Didier Kayihura Ntali, a pianist and music director, and Didier Jean Yves Muhawenimana of Kigali Groove Band cracked up the revellers’ mood coupled with a brilliant playlist of Indian tracks .

During the event, a short documentary portraying India’s major economic, social and cultural accomplishments was screened.

‘Great Indian Nite’ did not exclude children either, as there were plenty of activities for a fun filled evening.

The restaurant was decorated in tri-colours (light orange, white and the third band is green) to symbolise India’s national flag.

Cyril, a12-year-old Indian, displayed his love for music and assured the audience that he can be a good party tune selecta despite his age as he splendidly thrilled the audience.
