Muhire Tembwe Christian, better known by his stage name "DMS”, is one of the most prominent Hip-Hop artistes in Rwanda.

DMS started music at the tender age of eight, singing in church and school choirs. He, however, managed to record a song several years later, in 2003, after coming to Rwanda- while pursuing his University education.

In 2005, producer BZB, who also worked on most of his songs at the time, signed him to the TFP Crew. Some of Rwanda’s famous artists, like Faycal, Mahoniboni and K8, laid their music foundation with this label.

In 2007, he released his first album titled "Peace”, which included songs like, "Kigali City”, "Yego” and "To the Lost ones.”

Two years later, the rapper signed with "Barrick Music” an up coming label, which helped him release his album, ‘Life & Love’, during a launch concert in December 2011.

Though his launch concert did not attract many fans, possibly because the day had other events like the "Jungle Party” happening, DMS notes that successfully releasing his long-awaited album was enough to put a smile on his face.

"After ‘Life & Love’, new songs are coming up,” notes DMS. However, DMS has been over shadowed by the stiff competition of upcoming rappers.
