FIFA has summoned four Rwandan women to officiate in the upcoming U-20 World Cup qualifiers.

The quartet includes centre referee Angelique Tuyishime, two assistants- Francine Ingabire and Sandrine Usenga Murangwa and fourth official Saima Mukayisenga. The match commissioner is Beletesh Gebremariam from Ethiopia.

The quartet will handle the second leg qualifier between Kenya and Zambia which will be held in Nairobi on the weekend of March 2-4.

Meanwhile, FIFA says Uzbekistan is unable to host the Women’s Under-20 World Cup this year.

FIFA says its executive committee took away Uzbekistan’s hosting rights because of a number of logistical and technical issues.

Uzbekistan had been awarded the 16-nation tournament in March. FIFA says it will compensate Uzbekistan by asking it to organize a future FIFA event, or giving new development projects.

FIFA says Japan will step in as host if its government provides guarantees for the tournament.
