Editor,

Allow me to comment on a story by Bosco Asiimwe that appeared in The NewTimes, January 12 titled "Pastor defrauds 300 students.” Needy students ought to realise there are many quacks masquerading as good Samaritans.

Authorities should investigate claims that several students from universities like SFB, UAAC, ULK, have in the past been duped by the so called good Samaritans.

First, these "Good Samaritans” demand for money from unsuspecting students as a membership contribution after which they vanish without trace. In turn, they start their own businesses and leave the needy students in the cold. Therefore, students should always be on the look out.
