IN between taking care of errands and many other day to day responsibilities, Léopold Gasigwa, had time to shoot his newest movie, "Izingiro ry’Amahoro”, which is based on a true story reflecting the 1994 genocide in Rwanda.

The movie signifies tragic scenes of the genocide; how it was planned, how it started and how it was stopped.

The "Izingiro ry’Amahoro” movie comprises three series: The effects of colonialism from 1959 -1990, the darkest days between 1990 -1994, and the country’s recovery after the genocide, until 2010.

Gasigwa urges the children of the genocide perpetrators not to ape their parents deeds, but to take a step forward by joining other Rwandans to rebuild the country.

The film is sponsored by the Ministry of Sports and Culture (MINISPOC) and the Rwanda National Youth Council (CNJ), among others.

Léopold Gasigwa was born on September 3, 1979 in Huye District, Southern Province.
