Members of Parliament under the African Parliamentarian Network Against Corruption- Rwanda- Chapter (APNAC-Rwanda) yesterday unveiled the network’s new leadership headed by Senator Marie Claire Mukasine.

Mukasine took over from Hon. Constance Rwaka Mukayuhi, whose mandate ended late last year.

Speaking at the handover ceremony, Mukayuhi presented the achievements of the network during her tenure, paying tribute to her colleagues for their immense contribution in the fight against graft.

"We observed the implementation of international agreements on the fight against corruption, and also held sensitisation meetings with members of the public and local leaders, about their role in fighting against corruption,” Mukayuhi observed.

In her address, Mukasine promised to keep the legacy of the outgoing team.

"We will focus more on lobbying for permanent development partners, hard work and being extemporary internationally,” she said.

Other new members include the first vice chairperson, Adolphe Bazatoha, Secretary General, Connie Bwiza and Senator Perrine Mukankusi.
