Focus on your academics this term

Many times, teenagers waste so much valuable time in trivial issues.

This of course affects their grades and lives at the end of the day that leads to consequences that they might not be proud of later.

As the new term begins, students should consider throwing out minor issues and focusing on the major ones while in school.

Some of the minor and unimportant issues that waste a lot of teenager’s time include boy-girl relationships.

Involving oneself in a relationship during teenagehood is a bit risky; it is not a very wise decision and wastes a lot of time.

First, a teenager has many subjects, assignments and endless tests to juggle throughout the term. By adding a boyfriend or girlfriend into the picture, makes studying even more tasking.

Since I have been there and done that, I am very familiar with the pros and cons so I am certain that at this point in life, one does not need to be in a relationship while at school.

During teenagehood, one is not ready to relate and therefore ought to wait until the right time comes. In the meantime, concentrate on your studies and develop your talents.

Another minor issue that teens like majoring in while in school is joining cliques of undisciplined students that want to be famous.

Ever noticed how most of the students in cliques are unruly? Cliques are usually made up of students who think that they are better than the rest. These are most of the time at war with teachers, their grades are always low and they are constantly caught in the wrong.

At the end of the day, a student faces his/her parents alone and not with the clique. One presents their report to their parents alone so you should not waste time in cliques since they can only make you worse academically and in all other aspects.

The funny thing is that sometimes, students get so taken up with the cliques yet some of the clique members are so wise, they will spare time, hide away from you and go read their books.

However, they will still be holding a tarnished image of being in a bad group. If your friends are bad mannered, you will also be mistaken to be like them or they will even influence you to act like them so you ought to avoid bad groups this term.

There are quite a handful of minor issues that should be avoided but you should ignore them. Focus instead on what matters—your academics, discipline and talents.

With this, I wish you a very beautiful time at school.
