APR and Amavubi influential midfielder Jean Baptista Mugiraneza a.k.a Migi could feature in next month’s 2013 Africa Nations Cup first leg qualifier against Nigeria.

Migi injured his ankle during last month’s Primus league clash between APR and Amagaju and it was feared that he would be out for a long time.

However, latest reports indicate that the midfielder could play a part in the February 28 qualifier.

The news comes as a huge relief for Amavubi Coach Milutin Micho Sredojevic who is keeping his fingers crossed following injuries to eight key players. Jean Claude Ndoli, Jean Luc Ndayishimiye a.k.a Bakame, Andrew Buteera, Jerome Sina, Meddie Kagere, Ismail Nshutiyamagara, Frederick Ndaka and Charles Tibingana are all nursing injuries.

Following a 1-all draw with a select-side last week, another friendly has been lined up for Amavubi as they continue their build-up for the Super Eagles game. The match is slated for January 11.
