The general scarcity of land calls us to do farming that does take little space.

It is a waste of time to think always about cows when you do not even have enough land. Just get your chickens and make business go your way. Local leaders too should use their technicians to effectively teach the population on the scientific ways to do this kind of profitable farming. Otherwise we shall have people doing useless farming that has left them poor.
