RWANDA’s Olympic team will hold a two-week training camp in Bury St Edmunds in early July, three weeks before the London Olympic Games.

The Games Chef de Mission Serge Mwambali made the confirmation yesterday.

Rwanda is expected to field at least 20 athletes in the Games. According to Mwambali, the team will be confirmed in May.

However, one athlete who is assured of a place in the team is Adrien Niyonshuti who qualified for the Games after a top-notch display in South Africa.

The country is still chasing for a maiden medal in the Games.

In the 2004 Paralympic Games, Jean de Dieu Nkundabera won a bronze medal in the 800m race.
