Editor ,

Rwandair’s recent aggressive fleet modernisation programme ushers in the national carrier into the mainstream of the aviation industry not just regionally but in Africa. Since the acquisition of two state-of-the-art  Boeing 737-800NG last year, Rwandair has yet again announced that it is in the process of purchasing brand new Regional Jets after selling of two 50 seater CRJ200s.

The programme is a welcome boost to the airline as it seeks to get its fair share of the regional and global travel pie. The growing regional passenger and cargo demand and a rapidly expanding route network demands that the carrier acquires modern aircraft and adopts modern aviation standards. The move also ensures consistent and high comfort for its passengers.

Rwandair’s growth has been phenomenal in the last couple of years following the company’s woes earlier in its formation. I would, therefore, like to commend the management of the national career for its efficient management skills and focus. Please, keep it up.
