I commend the ever innovative immigration directorate for unveiling the new Machine Readable New Laissez Passer (MRLP).

As a regular traveller within the region, I am marvelled by the new travel document which not only looks presentable but contemporary too.

Compared to the old pink document, the new one is similar to a passport and the 32-page document with a validity of two years at Rwf10,000 is indeed value for money.

Overall, the new portable document portrays Rwanda’s ICT ideals.
