Local football clubs will know their opponents in this year’s edition of Peace Cup tournament when the draws are made this morning at Ferwafa headquarters, Remera.

Bonny Nsabimana, the head of competitions confirmed yesterday that they are meeting Primus league and second division clubs to discuss on this year’s Peace Cup edition.

"The meeting will be aimed at registering clubs and setting up rules that will govern the tournament as well as casting the draws,” added Nsabimana.

Today’s meeting will also set up new dates for Peace Cup kick off. It was initially supposed to start on January 8.

Military side APR beat Police 4-2 in last year’s edition, a week after they had claimed the Primus National Football League (PNFL) title.

Being Peace Cup and Primus National Football League (PNFL) defending champions, APR FC will represent Rwanda in the Orange CAF Champions League while Kiyovu Sports, who finished second in PNFL, competes in the Orange CAF.
