Jacque’s Vibes: Upgrading your relationships in 2012

A wise person said that it’s not about how many times you fall but how long it takes you to get up! I know that many have been through bad relationships this year; some were break ups without make ups.

A wise person said that it’s not about how many times you fall but how long it takes you to get up! I know that many have been through bad relationships this year; some were break ups without make ups.

Spouses should not expect to relax on a bed of roses because even roses (beautiful as they are) have thorns. These thorns could have pierced through your relationship but what matters is the courage with which you remove the thorns from the relationship.

This is precisely why this is the best time to work it out. I’m certain that no one wants to enter the New Year hurting.

If as a spouse, you are not putting things right, it’s about time you did so. This way, the relationship is strengthened and the past can be left exactly where it should be - behind. Initiate the New Year with fresh ideas on how your relationship can soar to greater heights.

Let the love you had for each other when you first met flourish again. It’s a new year; it should come with resolutions that will keep your relationship even more vibrant than before.

For relationships that seem to have condensed, it is time to forget the past and work on building a better future together. If it was a break up that went horribly wrong, throw it as far away as you can and don’t let it let it hinder you from having a great time in due relationships.

After all there is a time for everything. There is a season in prison for a reason! Do not cry over spilled milk, let it go and give the heart a chance to love again this New Year.

As for the lucky ones, who have had wonderful relationships, am thinking this should be the time to take it to another level. Why not explore the beauty of being called a husband or wife (if you are not already) to someone this New Year?

Sit down and discuss how best the relationship can be upgraded this new year.

Happy new year to you all!
