Editor,

Football is probably the most popular sport in the world, and our own Amavubi Stars have tried, time and again, to succeed, sometimes with luck.

While we should stay the course with regard to developing local football, we should also venture into other sports, where we can also compete favorably. From my observation, I find cycling one of such alternatives.

Rwandan cyclists like Gasore Hategeka, Nicodem Habiyambere and Hadi Janvier have all demonstrated potential to shine on the international stage.

We should support them, the media should give them enough coverage and sports officials accord them the facilitation needed to shine on the international stage
