Gorillas vs Simba

REIGNING champions Gorillas will be targeting a big win to reduce the gap on runaway leaders Remera Buffalos when they host Simba at APE Rugunga today.

Gorillas will be chasing for their second straight win after last Sunday’s 48-0 win over Sharks.

Though impressed by the team’s impressive form, forward Patrick Hodari believes that his team still has a lot work to do if they are to take top spot.

"We started off well and showed a lot of courage to defend the title. But we still need to get the bonus points to put Buffalos under more pressure,” he said.

Buffalos top the league charts after two convincing wins over UNR Grizzlies and Sharks while Gorillas and Grizzlies follow in second and third spots.

However, similar performance against Sharks could see Gorillas topping the league table.
It will be the only tie of the weekend. "It is the only game lined up for this weekend otherwise the league will resume after the national mourning period,” local rugby federation official confirmed.
