Two days not enough for us

I don’t know what the local government ministry has for us after the two days meant for registration for new national cards which also doubles as the national census elapse.

If it is really serious that all Rwandans will be registered in two days, I doubt whether the target will be achieved.

First of all, we are many for the two-day exercise.

Some people do not have weekends and when they find long queues; they are discouraged and just leave for their work.

Besides, many people do not understand the requirements, for example those who lost the old IDs, end up being bounced.

The children who are below sixteen years may miss out on this too.

Some parents think that the exercise is meant for IDs and since children do not need them, there is no need to register them.

I may be late to ask this but it seems the ministry needed to spare some more days for the exercise to be effective.

They needed to have carried out more sensitization about the exercise to cater for all those uncertainties.

I wonder whether my plea is too late to make a change.
