Children at the Gisimba orphanage in Nyamirambo, a Kigali suburb were joined by staff of the New Africa Gaming Solutions (NAGS) for Christmas. In addition to sharing meals and interacting, NAGS donated foodstuff to the orphanage.

"I have enjoyed Christmas with other children. I like gifts very much and our visitors have given us a lot of them,” said one of the orphans, Immaculate Uwineza.

The General Manager of NAGS, Diana Karengera, said the act was part of giving back to the society.

"The business community should not only consider profits, but also look around to identify measures of responding to challenges or problems affecting the community in which they are operating from,” Karengera said.

She promised that her company will continue reaching out to those in need.

In his speech, the Director of the orphanage, Gisimba Damas Mutezintare, commended NAGS for its gestand called upon others to do likewise.

"As Rwandans, we are capable of taking children from orphanages to our homes. Lets all come on board and we shall succeed in this project,” he said.

Mutezintare said that the orphanage has existed for 30 years and is currently home to 150 children.
