With access to education, Rwandan youth have a great future lined up. The New Times / File.

Editor,

It was good to hear that the Government has put in place several measures to ensure children’s rights are protected and access to quality health care and education is guaranteed.

Several programmes aimed at transforming their lives have been initiated. For instance, one cow per family programme, has helped improve children’s nutrition.

The Nine-year basic education programme has also ensured that children get free education and this has seen the futures take shape.

Among Rwanda’s greatest assets is the youth. They have potential and energy to transform the country and this is the very reason why we should be sending them to school.
