Great turnup at Rusine’s one-man show

Comedy lovers were, last evening, treated to a thrilling and fun filled comedy show by Patrick Rusine. The comedian was shown much love with a huge turnup of his fans who had come to support him at his first ever one-man show at Camp Kigali.

Dubbed ‘Inkuru Ya Rusine’, it was all laughs since the beginning of the show till the end. One comedian after another, they made sure to give the crowd an amazing time during their performances.

The show’s host Arthur Nkusi called Rusine, who came running on stage as his fans that had eagerly waited for his performance could not hide their excitement.

The comedian known for always stealing the show and outshining other comedians started off with a dance and then looked around to see how big the crowd was and he was shocked and amazed at the same time.

The comedian’s jokes left revelers laughing during his two-hour performance on stage especially his story about his parents’ wedding.

"At my parents’ wedding I was the main sponsor of their big day. I am the only child to ever become the sponsor at parents’ wedding. I had to do all activities that I was the pastor, best man and host at the same time,” he joked.

He joked that one of the qualities of a drunkard is thinking too fast but to find out later that they were wrong. He saw a man in the audience who he said resembled like his father and asks him 5,000 RWF but the guy denied his request saying his father never had that kind of money.

"When I worked at Chic building at a certain job that I can’t tell you about, I knew where all the free restrooms in town like at City Tower on floor 18,” he continued in jokes.

He later on called Clapton to join him on stage saying he played a big role to make his name known. They formed a strong partnership with the duo developing a new comedy concept acting like drunkards and were among the most watched videos on YouTube.

"I want to call my good friend behind my talent; I will never betray or stop loving you. It is you Papa Nellah, I love you my brother, you are welcome”, said Rusine.

Rusine came on stage after performances of other five comedians who had revelers’ ribs cracking during their funny performances.

Comedians Zaba Missed Call, Fally Merci, Ambassador w’Abakonsomateri and Emmanuel Mugisha commonly known as Clapton Kibonke had plenty of jokes.

Comedian Joshua also gave revelers an amazing performance. Talking about the tragedy of losing singer Buravan and Yanga, he joked how it will be impossible to find words in Kinyarwanda representing each letter in his name unlike others. He also had a few jokes on gospel singer Israel Mbonyi who was present at the show.

Rusine’s real name is Patrick Rukundo. He got his nickname Rusine from his mother’s name Mukarusine.

Dubbed ‘Inkuru Ya Rusine’, the show has attracted many local comedian who entertained the audience.
